Beauty Products That Help Me Shine

Hey guys! It's been a long time since I've posted. But obviously I've been really busy. I have a bunch of good content coming up soon. I thought I'd do a little blog cataloging my favorites currently. I'll hopefully try to do more of this, because I really do like sharing things that I like as well as things that are working for me. For this post, I'll be covering some super awesome beauty products that have really helped me out lately. This post is not sponsored in any way.

1.

This BB cream is really great. It's super pricey, so if you can spend a few bucks, I'd totally recommend. It's the Coola BB+ Cream. I was actually given a sample size, which you can sometimes find at beauty stores or places that hand out trials. It's super light and has a nice shine to it that makes your skin glow just the right amount. It's super nice for spring and summer when you want some foundation, but want to take it light. It also has SPF 30 in it, which is really nice for hot summer days. The product is also vegan, slightly water resistant, and smells amazing. To buy: Coola BB Cream at Ulta Beauty

This is a product that many people know about and use, but it's seriously the best. It's not just a beauty product, and in fact, I probably wouldn't categorize it as a beauty product. Rather, it's more of a household item. Dr. Bronner's Castille Soap is great because it's multi-purpose, and SUPER eco friendly. You can use castille soap to wash your body, face, hair, sink, floors, dishes, clothes... the list goes on and on. It's super concentrated so one bottle will last you forever. It's also vegan, cruelty free, biodegradable, and a bunch of other cool things that mean it's good for the Earth and for you. I've been using this to wash and I've tried the lavender, almond, and peppermint scents and they're all fantastic. This product is also amazing for the dorm room because it's so multipurpose and you cut down on spending money on each individual product. To buy: Dr. Bronner's Castille Soap in Lavender

This is one of Lush's shower scrubs, called Rub Rub Rub. The consistency is a little bit jelly feeling, and it works really well and feels amazing after. I've been using this especially when I shave, have dry skin, and on my face. I absolutely love the smell, which is a lemon/jasmine/mimosa smell. The product can become a little bit pricy, usually around $22. The product is vegan, and not tested on animals. Lush products are also made fresh with super fresh ingredients, which can be guaranteed to be super beneficial for your skin. I love the glow it gives and the feeling when I step out of the shower after using this. To buy: Lush Rub Rub Rub Shower Scrub

4.
This next product is an eye priming shadow stick, although often this is the only thing I use since I like to go pretty minimalistic. It's called Manna Kadar: Eye Candy Priming Shadow Stick and comes in 5 tints. The tint is a very nice glow, and I am really enjoying the "Honey" color, which is a nice light pink. It stays all day and helps eyeshadow stay as well. My friends all love this product as well and always ask to use it. It doesn't run out too fast, and can be a pretty worthwhile buy for people who like to have color to their eyes, yet not a lot of makeup. To buy: Manna Kadar Eye Candy

5.
This is pretty much a staple of bronzers, and probably one of the best budget (drugstore) brand bronzers out there. It's Physician's Formula Butter Bronzer. One of my favorite things about it is the smell, which resembles a tropical paradise. I also absolutely love the color it gives, which is a nice subtle sun-kissed darkening glow. It's a really easy to use and light bronzer, which makes it nice for people (like me) who don't love to use a harsh contour. It's around $15 depending on where you look. To buy: Butter Bronzer by Physicians Formula

6.

The Milani Baked Blush is another staple drugstore product. It comes in 3 shades, which are all gorgeous shades. It's a pretty good price of $7.99 (Ulta Beauty). It's light, yet brings out your natural color. It also has a slight shine to it, which is nice for people who love a minimal makeup look. I also love that this blush really adds a sun kissed look, and complements the Butter Bronzer really nicely.
If you're looking for a more hypoallergenic, cruelty free, and gluten free option, try Murumuru Butter Blush by Physicians Formula, which also comes in gorgeous tints and has a really nice soft feel to it. To buy: Murumuru Butter Blush

I received this face wash as a gift, but I am absolutely loving it! It's super eco-friendly and plant based, which is an awesome quality to have in a face wash. It's really light and soft on the skin. The smell is a citrusy scent, which I personally love. It is plant based, cruelty free, paraben free, and phthalate free. I have pretty dry skin, which becomes oily in warmer weather. This face wash really is versatile for all my needs. It's a great addition on top of the Castille soap, which can leave your face quite dry. After using this, my skin feels really refreshed. It's also on the cheaper side at $5.29 (Target). To buy: Burts Bees Facial Cleanser

8.
This is definitely my go to mascara. It's the Bare Minerals Lash Domination mascara, which is a really natural looking mascara. It's super light and it's really an all around good choice for people who want nice eyelashes without using extensions or fakes. It definitely lengthens mine, curls, and stays on all day. It's definitely more pricy for mascara, but it lasts me fairly long. You can also find sample and mini sizes of this mascara, which is nice because they are cheaper. To buy: Bare Minerals Mascara

9.

This product is a great lip product for any one who has dry lips like me. Winter is the worst, since my skin gets very dry and cracked. This product is the Hempz Herbal Lip. I know it sounds really weird, but it's actually a really nice natural lip option. It's 100% Vegan, Gluten free, and THC free. I also received this product as a gift, from someone who said I needed to try it because they loved it so much. I definitely love the feel it gives, and it's almost more like a gloss than a chapstick. You might be put off by the Hemp seed, but Hemp seed oil is actually a really great source of Essential Fatty Acids, which is really good for our skin because it provides many nutrients. It's also relatively cheap, coming in at around $8. To buy: Hempz Herbal Lip Balm

10.

Okay this one is sort of a weird one to include in beauty products, but I love it so much. It's an aluminum free deodorant made by a local lavender farm in Washington. She makes all sorts of lavender goods as well as honey-made products. I really don't like antiperspirant and deodorant with a million ingredients that aren't typically the best for your body, so this was a great option. At first I was sort of skeptical, as many natural deodorants can have a weird texture, a weird smell, or just plain not work. But this one does the trick. It is smoother than most typical deodorants, smells amazing, and actually keeps me smelling good. I'm almost out of mine right now and definitely have to buy another soon. It is priced for $9. To buy: Bee Active Deodorant

These are many of my favorite products. Some of them are on the pricier side, but that's because I use a very minimal makeup look, so the products I do buy last me a long time. Although some of my products are not vegan and cruelty free, I do strive to use products that are ethical and very good for the environment. I use a natural deodorant, all natural shower products and washes. I try to use eco-friendly products as often as I can. This blog post is not specifically about my vegan and eco-friendly makeup products, but I will write about those soon. It's super important to be conscious of what you are using on your body as well as what's going into the environment.

These are all real products that I use daily and are all part of my makeup routine almost every single day. They are my go-to products as of now. Thanks so much for reading!
